Yuri Ushakov added that there should be another meeting and there will be other potential locations for the two to meet in the future.
Ushakov stated, “After the summit, you know what kind of atmosphere there is around its outcome.” He added that it would be “wise to let the dust settle.” He continued, “and then we can discuss all these questions in a business-like way. But not now.”
The snub by Putin comes as Trump talked about having a second meeting with Putin.
Last week Trump tweeted, “The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media.”
He continued, “I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear……..”
“….proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more. There are many answers, some easy and some hard, to these problems…but they can ALL be solved!”
After his meeting with Putin, Trump received backlash from both sides for seeming to side with Russia over the U.S. intelligence communities.Since then, Trump has claimed he misspoke and agrees with the intelligence community about Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
